Looking for a experienced cook for our business based in Auckland.
You will be required to prepare and cook all types of south Indian cuisines including fresh Dosa, Idli, Vada, Paratha, Curries,Chutneys, Sweets and Snacks.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
· Prepare and cook all types of south Indian cuisines
· Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
· Assist in planning menus and determining the ingredients required for food preparation
· Store food appropriately in temperature controlled facilities
· Portion food, put it on takeaway box, and add gravies, sauces, and garnishes
· Ensure the kitchen is run in a smooth and efficient manner
· Ensuring food safety regulations are implemented and followed We offer:
· Guaranteed 35 hours per week (minimum)
· A permanent fulltime role · $30.00 per hour pay rate.
Skills and experience required: · 1 – 2 years relevant experience.
· Sound knowledge of south Indian cuisines.
· Ability to control wastage of bulk raw material.
· Ability to build and maintain good customer relationships would be an advantage.
